Live Review: Close Counters serve nothing but solid boogie on their guest mix

The other day, we chatted with Melbourne duo CLOSE COUNTERS about their new remix for Motez, their collaborative work with Laneous and their spot on our thirteenth birthday lineup, going down on Saturday June 15 as part of Vivid Sydney at The Lansdowne. You can go check out that interview here.

The pair have been working hard to hone in on their sound, accentuated by their intense musical knowledge and understanding of musicality and their ability to cohesively collaborate. Last year, they released their stellar debut record, SOULACOASTA. The record journeys through various moods, sounds and influences, touching on concepts created by the likes of Kaytranada and more locally, Lucianblomkamp. The sound they've created is ultimately a melting pot of crafty sampling, their attention to detail being what pulls it altogether.

We're sure the CC boys have excellent taste in music, so to see what gets them in the party mood, we asked them to put together a 20 minute guest mix for our radio show on FBi Radio.
