If POWLOH looks familiar to you, that might be because you've probably seen him either serving up hip-hop infused beats as MIKEY HUNJ or on stage behind the decks as ALLDAY's DJ. Now, real name Paulo Latuga is sharing his brand new project titled POWLOH and is making his debut in style.

"In the midst of creating new music, there became an apparent split between two different sounds," Powloh said of his time creating new music as Mikey HUNJ and noting the distinction between the sounds of his first project and what he was starting to create. Fittingly, he decided to separate the two completely and thus Powloh was born and now we have his very first single for your listening pleasure.

Mixing dancehall influences with future-bass stylings, Powloh is much more pop oriented than that of his predecessor. Amping up the summer vibes, 'Animal' is an effervescent and catchy tune from the get go, exploring the concept of having everything you need and fighting the human and animalistic inclination of wanting more. "It's about being pulled toward a darker more dangerous place, but then in turn pulling the people you're close to along with you because it doesn't seem so bad once you're in", says Powloh.
