Feeling a little uptight? Not to worry, HAIKU HANDS have you covered with their newest single ‘Squat’. The Australian collective teamed up with Sydney-side, afro-beat influenced beat boys TRUE VIBENATION for the track, an unlikely but oh so tasty match. This is your fries and ice-cream sundae single, blending salty, spicy drums with a sweet, catchy melody and friendly vocals that more or less instruct you on how to react to this track- squat, of course.

Born from the depths of a Sydney warehouse party, this track holds true to Haiku Hands’ manifesto surrounding collaboration and communities. These values are amplified even further by the group's pairing with True Vibenation, another collaborative collective. Following on from previous high-energy releases ‘Jupiter’ and ‘Not About You’, artists Claire Nakazawa, Beatrice Lewis and Mie Nakazawa knew they would need to pull something special out of the bag and that’s when True Vibenation quite literally “came to the party”. Serendipity can be found in the DJ booth people!

It’s an exciting time for the Haiku Hands ladies, after having played a bunch of festivals around Australia including Splendour In The Grass, St. Jerome’s Laneway Festival, Groovin The Moo, Panama Festival, Listen Out and The Great Escape earlier this year in May, the crew are finally about to embark on their debut national (and a little bit of New Zealand) tour at the beginning of next year. Let's hope the guys from True Vibenation will be getting on board at some stages to support and reinforce the positive vibes and keep the boogie alive- until then we’ll be getting down to ‘Squat’!
