Live Review: Airwolf puts the pedal to the metal in new video for 'Blazin' feat. Sophiegrophy

AIRWOLF is a producer that's long been on our radar, and for very good reason. He makes bangers. Tunes that will get you moving in no time at all. House thumpers that will keep you dancing all night long, and his latest track, 'Blazin', is yet another example of this.

Teaming up with SOPHIEGROPHY who continues to pop up all over the place, having already collaborated with WALKER & ROYCE and MILWAUKEE BANKS this year as well as dropping her own debut single, 'Fa$t Life' recently, Airwolf uses her vocals to add a little something extra to the bouncy, high-energy beat he made for 'Blazin', and the results are something special indeed.

Using restraint, Airwolf builds the track around Sophiegrophy's looped vocals, creating an instant earworm that will be stuck in your head for days to come. With deep bass and some retro keys, Airwolf once again shows just how talented he is in the producer's seat, as 'Blazin' morphs into an all-out frenzy that doesn't let up.

Now, while Airwolf is quite comfortable in the producer's seat, one seat he's still getting used to is that of a music video director, but given his efforts with the video for 'Blazin', we'd say he's a total natural! Having directed, filmed and edited the video for 'Blazin' himself, Airwolf can add a few more feathers in his cap with this clip.

Speaking about the 'Blazin' video, Airwolf said, “I’ve always had the idea of filming something fast-paced and energetic, so I hit up my friend Simon who I knew raced his car for fun at various tracks around Australia. One early morning around 3:30am I followed him to a track and entered this pure Australian world of rev-heads that I didn’t know a thing about. Even though I had a couple blokes try to talk to me about pistons and oil or something and I just went along with it like I knew what I was talking about. It was quite a challenge for me filming this and sticking it together but I think it turned out great. Simon was a champ and killed it on the track that day too, beating his personal record!”

With a new EP titled Elevate just around the corner, it's all systems go for Airwolf. He's also supporting Jax Jones on his Australian tour, and an EP tour is tipped to be announced very soon too.
