Sydney producer ENDGRAIN has released his debut EP, Frame Relay, featuring his first single releases ‘4 x 4’ and ‘Heavy Lifting’ alongside another four summer-ready tracks.

The lad behind Endgrain is Jackson May, who has previously produced music under a handful of different monikers and channels his passion and prowess into this diverse culmination of both dance and emotion evoking electronic jams. Jackson draws noticeable influence from other club virtuosos by the likes of BoddikaBonobo and Bicep while demonstrating his own unique sonic palette through his unique mash-up of sounds and fluctuating rhythmic intensities.

Across Frame Relay’s six tracks, we're greeted with a mass of auditory landscapes, encompassing sounds from high-energy club bangers through to more tranquil vibes. We’ve already been acquainted with ‘4 x 4’ and ‘Heavy Lifting’, so let’s get introduced to these other shiny new offerings.

‘Summer Falls’ is an absolute club banger, bringing with it some seriously sweltering tropical timbres between lush summertime ambiances. ‘When I Step’ is bound to keep you moving amid its frolicking percussive layers, stripped-back production and alluring sub bass grooves, and you should prepare for a whole new level of workout with ‘Cabala’, which boasts extraordinarily fervent up-tempo break beats and throwback vocals to create some hella tasty nostalgic nuances. ‘Soul Float’ chills things down with suave guitar licks and lo-fi samples, transitioning into slow-burned hip-hop beats to create a juicy blend of rich tones and retro vibes that perfectly tie off this hectic dance adventure.

Endgrain’s gritty, raw and effective Frame Relay EP stands tall and redundant of any sonic clutter, proving that “less is more” can still reside in the ever-changing electronic music space.
