In a world where we're seeing the resurgence of the music video, artists are out here trying to keep us excited. Bigger budgets, bigger effects and prayers for a bigger reaction are deployed in hopes that we'll click off YouTube more impressed than the last time. However, in saying that, some music videos are becoming more about the spectacle and less about the song they anchor. Yet, ORLEAN are not letting that happen to them and have dropped a video that looks just as gorgeous as 'I Can't Keep Loving You Like This' sounds.

Shot entirely via drone in the notoriously picturesque Iceland by videographer Chris StaringOrlean (made up of producer Terry Mann and vocalist Bella Li) have delivered a stunningly simple video to complement a stunningly simple song. 'I Can't Keep Loving You Like This' dances delicately on a heartbreaking theme of a love long distance where nothing can be done to salvage the connection that is breaking right before them. The song's extremely naked production allows for Li's enchanting vocals to take centre stage, transporting us to a world of heartbreak and helplessness. Worse - a heartbreak and helplessness that comes after ages of trying to make something work.

The video, cut by Mann, is similarly stripped back in its approach and thereby a perfect accompaniment to the song. Showcasing vast and quiet landscapes, we get a visual of the distance between two lovers. Black sands, hushed oceans and still sunsets glistening over icebergs are a beautiful thing to witness, but seemingly lifeless and barren. That in itself provides the perfect metaphor for 'I Can't Keep Loving You Like This' - the love looks beautiful, and it is, but an emptiness is taking over and it's one that cannot be recovered.
