Live Review: Expect the unexpected with moistbreezy's guest mix

15 September 2017 | 8:08 am | Caitlin Medcalf

It's pretty clear that there's absolutely no limit to moistbreezy and her potential. With every release, it's clear that something's clicked in her mind. It feels as though each release is an absolute fruition of who she's come to understand herself and the moniker of moistbreezy to be.

It started out feeling like a passion project, but more than anything now, it feels like what pop music is becoming: an honest portrayal of an artist that doesn't ever feel the need to hold back for the sake of appearances.

There's so many aspects of moistbreezy that we could celebrate, but I think the mix she's put together for our show on FBi Radio absolutely speaks for itself. It's an amalgamation of her own releases, sounds she loves and overall an absolute vibe that only moistbreezy would be able to bring to the table.

Not only is she a producer and DJ, but she's a totally dedicated performer and theatre student. Starting out at film school in Boston, she soon after tried her hand at producing music and never looked back.

You only have to take a glance at her Soundcloud or Facebook pages to see that she's incredibly busy. Collabs and community feel like huge values that she holds, and rightly so, she's involved in an incredibly inclusive and diverse community over in the US that celebrates doing something different.

She released her debut EP, Miss Me, not too long ago, and surrounding that, has also found the time to create remixes for the likes of Boy Sim and BOYSLASHFRIEND and has collabed with Amy AxegaleDenzel Sterling and omniboi.

Aside from this, she's a passionate activist too, with all proceeds from her EP, Miss Me, (including the lead single) going to Planned Parenthood.

We've been stoked on all of the epic things she's achieved over the last year, so we asked if she'd be keen to put together a guest mix for our radio show on FBi Radio. All the way from the US, she's put together a mix that spans dubstep to pop to downtempo vocal tunes.

It's unexpected, but hey - that's what we've come to expect from moistbreezy.
