The Harpoons have shared an epic visual pairing to their recent euphoric single ‘Do You Want My Love’, offering even more disco nostalgia.

The HARPOONS have shared an epic visual pairing to their recent euphoric single ‘Do You Want My Love’. The eccentric, disco-melded tune has certainly caused a bit of a hubbub, largely thanks to the four piece ensemble's superb take on modernising some of our favourite nostalgic vibes.

With the crew set to perform at next month’s highly anticipated Bigsound, this well-timed official video release indicates that The Harpoons are lining up their cards to pack as much punch as possible.

‘Do You Want My Love’ throws back to timeless electronic disco beats, immediately transporting us back to the 1990s and 2000s as percussion mingles perfectly with a classic array of shiny synths, smooth bass and punchy electronic piano in a near-instant time warp back to our youth. This tune is ultimately filled with warmth and carefree feels, as soul-esque backing vocals support the uplifting, feverous voice of the lead.

The video for ‘Do You Want My Love’ is as bangin’ as the song itself, further reminiscing back to that golden era as we see lead vocalist and all-round talent Bec Rigby hanging out in the back of a moving convertible driving through a neon-lit Melbourne night. This reel of lo-fi footage  ultimately exhibits Rigby in a solo state of rapture as she dances exultantly through the streets, periodically joined by fellow band mate Martin King.

If you aren’t in Brisbane for the Bigsound festivities, fear not: The Harpoons will be following their appearance in the Sunshine State with shows in Sydney and Melbourne in celebration of the single’s release. See HERE for event details and check out the dates below!

Sat 9 Sept - Brighton Up Bar - Sydney

Fri 15 Sept - Northcote Social Club - Melbourne
