Perth-based rapper COIN BANKS has released his long awaited second EP, Outside Looking In, officially coming out of his three-year hiatus.

Perth-based rapper COIN BANKS has released his long awaited second EP, Outside Looking In. This latest offering is Banks' first record release since 2014, following on from his Heads and Tails dual EPs.

During his three year hiatus, the Perth MC garnered himself a position as one of Australia’s most exciting and innovative up-and-coming voices in the hip-hop scene. With previous collaborations with fellow artists such as Ta-Ku and Danny Martin, along with an impressive touring history with the likes of Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Cypress Hill and Action Bronson, Coin Banks has already gathered a wealth of experience under his belt.

Outside Looking In is Coin Banks' most collaborative work to date, bringing several different artists and producers into the mix across the EP’s six tracks.

Leading single ‘Forgive Us’ was released in early June to an exceptionally positive reception, and features the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) Gospel Choir as a driving force in this feel good soul-infused number that completely evokes all of your dance urges.

Ezra James’ lustrous vocals superbly fills out the R&B feels on 'Pull Up' and 'Problems', and James Chatburn offers his serenading, velvety-smooth voice in the tender chorus of 'Stay In Bed'.

The impressive production credits on Outside Looking In include World DMC Champion 20Syl and Las Vegas beatmaker Cam O'bi, along with Banks' longtime collaborators, French producer Atom and Chicago wonderboy Monte Booker.

Outside Looking In humbly brings to the table a truly high-calibre collection of tracks, reflecting Banks' artistic integrity without boastfulness or swagger. The music honestly and wholeheartedly speaks for itself.

Coin Banks will be playing a five live shows in August and September, aptly marking the release of Outside Looking In with his first headline tour since 2014. Tickets available HERE via Low Key Source and you can check out the dates below!
