Ziggy Ramo uses his easy beats to tackle the tough issues. In his latest song 'Same Script', he turns his attention to mental health.

ZIGGY RAMO is an artist who skilfully spins his heartfelt passion into solid hip-hop tracks. Concerned largely with the injustices faced by Indigenous Australians, he uses his easy beats to tackle the tough issues. In his latest track 'Same Script', he turns his attention to mental health.

There are some very old school vibes in the way that he likes to make his hip-hop. Shimmering percussion and fuzzy production lends to some real disco elements, whereas the punch of the vocals firmly plants the track in its pure rap roots. His lyrics are raw and honest. He addresses mental health with confidence, showing that speaking about mental health is nothing to be ashamed of.

'Same Script' was produced by JCAL, a frequent collaborator of Ziggy's. The Western Australian producer also lent his mixing hand to help produce Black Thoughts, Ziggy's three track EP. Like 'Same Script', last year's Black Thoughts EP addressed intense and serious lyrical content through the vessel of hip-hop.

Speaking about the song, Ziggy has said that 'Same Script' is "a self-reflection that acknowledges we are all unique individuals, no two the same..." He emphasises how important he feels it is for people to be empathetic, saying "regardless of race, gender or sexuality, through both love and loss we can connect to the plight of our fellow beings..."

We're expecting huge things for this guy, as he's already shining bright and showing no signs at all of slowing down!
