Take Your Time have taken on Australian royalty with their latest track 'Love At First Sight'. Making it their own with individuality and a touching subtly.

Over New Years, we tipped TAKE YOUR TIME as artists to watch in 2017. And this was damn fine picking on our behalf, if we do say so ourselves. This Melbourne duo create intricate and meticulous music, in a vein of electronic often attempted but never executed quite so well. Now, they have done the difficult by taking on an Australian pop classic and making it their own. But they have nailed it with individuality, subtlety, and a touch of the ethereal.

Originally a pop track by Australian royalty Kylie Minogue, 'Love At First Sight' has been taken in a delicious and delicate new direction. The initial track is everything that was good about 2001: resonate synths, breathy vocals and a touch of disco revival.

The reinvention, however, showcases all that is great about Take Your Time. Never one to showboat, the pair have nailed the ability to make subtly absolutely enticing. The duo is comprised of Angela Schilling and Lee Hannah, and Schilling credits Kylie Minogue as a formative musical influence in her life.

There is a quick pace to the track that is countered by the extended and easing vocals of Schilling and Hannah. The instrumental ticks away as swirling layers are given and then taken away.

The single comes as the first taste of Vol. 1, a compilation from Healthy Tapes. The compilation drops on the 30th of June, and all of the proceeds go towards RISE, Australia's only asylum seeker organisation that is run by refugees, asylum seekers and ex-detainees.
