Pink Noise celebrate their first birthday with a brand new mixtape series

This queens of Sydney community radio, PINK NOISE, have made an exciting announcement this week. In celebration of their one year anniversary, they have released their first ever mixtape!

Here at Purple Sneakers, we’re constantly pushing for greater female representation music, so you can only imagine our excitement when hearing about this collaboration. The series is set to showcase a range of bad ass local and international talent. If you’re not yet familiar with the Pink Noise crew, it’s definitely time you looked them up. Their fortnightly radio show on Bondi Beach Radio has played an active role in promoting gender balance, as well as championing genre pushing electronica. Pink Noise has been making waves in the Sydney music scene for all the right reasons. Their efforts to put female performers on the map has not gone unnoticed, having scored some incredible guests like KIMCHI PRINCI, MOWGLI MAY, and EBONY BOADU to name a few.

Pink Noise certainly kicked things off with a bang, the first mixtape installation includes talented women such as MEI SARASWATI, ANNIE BASS and MKO SUN.

You can get the Pink Noise 411 via their Facebook page. Keep your eyes peeled for an exciting event happening as part of the Vivid Sydney festival this year.

The Pink Noise mixtape is now available via Bandcamp. Get your copy now.

About:

You may have caught some of my awkward banter on air at FBi or Bondi Beach Radio radio; however I work work behind the scenes mostly, developing content and formatting programs. Equally passionate about social issues, the arts and raving on weekends. Rose and repartee are my forte.
