Live Review: PREMIERE: Made in Paris takes on LO'99 & Marshall F's 'Fallen'

14 March 2017 | 9:00 am | Staff Writer

LO'99's and Marshall F's mammoth collaboration is given new life in this remix from one of our Artists to Watch for 2017, Made in Paris.

You've probably heard this song by now. It's been #1 on the ARIA Club chart for four weeks in a row, been played by the likes of GORGON CITYMOTEZKASKADE and so many more in DJ sets across the world, and has been featured on BBC Radio 1Triple J and more. We're talking, of course, about LO'99's and MARSHALL F's mammoth collab, 'Fallen', and we hope you like it because you're about to hear it for much longer, only this time with some MADE IN PARIS injected into it.

Made in Paris, one of our Artists to Watch for 2017, has gone from strength to strength to strength over recent months. Picking up festival spots, debuting her own original music and more, she has become a force to be reckoned with in the Australian dance scene and beyond. We were predicting big things from her this year, and it looks like she's already proving us right.

Taking on 'Fallen', Made in Paris shows what she's really made of here. Showing off her production chops, she goes in on this track, completely dismantling it and building it back up as her own. Although the original mix of 'Fallen' may be at the top of the club charts, this rework is for the clubbing purists. Paying homage to late night raves, Made in Paris takes this to the basement, with dark, mysterious vibes aplenty. She seamlessly navigates her way through the haze, keeping it heavy and almost ominous. Expertly put together, Made in Paris intertwines her deep techno sounds with the groundwork already laid by LO'99 and Marshall F to make something positively addictive. The vocal loop is right, we "can't get enough" either.

What was already an impressive track from LO'99 and Marshall F has been given new life thanks to Made in Paris. Three equally promising producers, we can't wait to see what they do next.
