Chord Memory Band is a collaboration between Australian artists Michael Medlycott and Dom Bird and they have just put out the track 'Donostia' off of their latest project Third Eye EP.

The track is a retro throw back instrumental track, utilising vintage drum machines and synths to create a classic sound with a modern mindset to production. Many different layers of smooth, funky synths are working together on this track to create this wonderful atmosphere of nostalgia.

The song's mix is fantastically balanced, you can hear each instrument clearly allowing the listener to hear the rich warm sounds of the vintage machines come through and the intricate sequencing of the production. From the rich bassline to the piercing synths, the crisp beats or the warm keys that play and flit throughout, Chord Memory Band truly show how it's done with this track.

Chord Memory Band clearly have mountains of experience when it comes to production (Medlycott is one third of epic Brisbane band, Vulture St. Tape Gang), and that experience has come through on this track through the detail of the production and the mixing.
