After debuting his Monument EP in December of last year, Melbourne dance producer STATUE has released a mystifying music video for the title track.

Directed by Alex Badham and starring the enigmatic dancing of Natalie Abbott, the official video for 'Monument' is out now via Cutters Records. The interplay between Statue's sounds and the visuals is fascinating. Chopping through locations faster than you can say 'woah', each scene offers a whole new realm of colours and costume. What stays consistent though is the entrancing dancing. A mix of street and technique, the dancer gyrates her way through the soundtrack.

Ticking and tribal, 'Monument' is literally all bells and whistles. The consistency of sound is heightened by the intensity of the music video. The percussion will have you moving, whilst the lights and colours will have you glued to your screen.

The final few moments of the clip offer something a little different. Closing in on the figure's pained expression, faces erupt into pixels. A quick succession of shot changes documents all of the previous scenes. And offers that you may not have been watching just a music video, you may have been watching a slow descent into madness.
