Welcoming ALTA as one of the most promising duos to come out of Melbourne has become a unanimous decision by Australian synth-pop fans. Julius Dowson and Hannah Lesser have created exceptional artistry that confidently demonstrates their vibrant personalities and soothing soundscapes with each of their releases. Their latest effort, a five track EP entitled Sincere, is an eloquently delivered deconstruction of human emotions. Each track explores the depth and complexity of relationships and all the baggage that follows, both good and bad.
The EP is yet another release that has been fast tracked straight to the top of their self built tower of accomplishments, being no surprise as to why they have shared stages with TOKIMONSTA, JONWAYNE and TA-KU. Let’s not forget the insane list of secured spots at Strawberry Fields, Paradise Music Festival and one of Victoria’s favourite boutique festivals, Inca Roads. But there’s one more performance they can add to their list as they’ll be playing alongside an extensive lineup of talent at this year's By The Meadow. In all this excitement (on their behalf and ours) ALTA have so generously provided us with their top five must see acts to make your festival timetable a little easier to prepare, so grab your pen and paper and take notes!

Haven't had the chance to see him live yet but gonna be up the front after hearing the gorgeous album 'Koya' late last year.
Baro
We caught one of Baro's earlier shows and have been fanboying out about him and his mates ever since. Highly recommend stretches before and after this set to avoid pulling muscles. You're gonna need max flexibility.
Christopher Port
This is the point in the festival where I'm either gonna lose a friend or make a new one cos we're gonna get loose as. Insanity this guy. Bloody insanity.
Jaala
One of our favourite Australian bands period. In addition to having your mind blown by the tunes expect some high quality banter.
Jack Grace
Intimate electronic music. We don't know how he pulls it off but it feels like you're standing right next to him. It sounds full and rich but somehow empty at the same time. The balance is spot on. In my spare time I make fake tinder profiles and follow him around swiping right. He just ignores me. Please msg me bb.
