Live Review: Midnight Pool Party tease their debut EP with tight new single, ‘Collide’

'Collide' is the second single from Midnight Pool Party's upcoming EP, Dalliance, due out in March, and features co-production from Luke Million.

Sydney boys MIDNIGHT POOL PARTY have teased their upcoming debut EP, Dalliance, due out in March, with a cracking new tune, ‘Collide’. With a bit of production help from Luke Million, Oliver Dela Cruz and Darren Morilla have outdone themselves with this understated, dance floor friendly heat.

“’Collide’ was the final piece in completing the overall sound of our first EP. It’s an incredibly emotionally charged track that builds up to a massive dance party by the end. Lyrically it’s a bitter sweet song about letting someone go, but knowing you met them for a reason,” the duo said of their latest single.

Midnight Pool Party have kept things pretty chill on this one, making it a prime summer arvo tune to vibe to. The fat, squishy bass line provides just enough oomph for ‘Collide’ to find itself at home in the club as well, and the powerful vocals and touching lyrics bring a little something extra to each listen when simply chilling out.
