Let Jai Wolf take you through his favourite homes away from home

14 February 2017 | 4:52 pm | Jackson Langford

A man who needs no introduction, we got to know a little bit more about the one and only Jai Wolf, and all of his favourite homes away from home.

At this point, JAI WOLF truly needs no introduction. The Bengali-born, New York City-based producer made a giant splash in Australia, especially, with his booming EDM track 'Indian Summer' which is instantly recognisable once it falls upon any ears lucky enough to hear it.

Of course, Jai Wolf in and of himself is a mixture of cultural backgrounds and therefore his music is perfectly representative of that. Having taken his tunes to huge platforms like Bonnaroo, his songs reflect the massive trajectory his career has followed - nothing is done by small measures. He has mastered the maximalist EDM sound without it sounding overdone or cliché. As a producer that gains more popularity by the second, it's hard for Jai Wolf to remain in one place for too long, so let him take you through his favourite places around the world because, as poetic as it sounds, the road has become his home.

San Diego

San Diego is my absolute favourite place in California.  It has such a laid back vibe and the beaches are beautiful.  A lot of people will go on about how amazing Los Angeles is so I feel like San Diego gets overshadowed.  I highly recommend checking out the Gaslamp area for the nightlife and Roberto's for the best burrito you will ever taste.

Seattle

This past fall, my tour bus ended up spending nearly a week in Seattle since we had some off days between dates.  This seaside city has some really great sights like the Space Needle and amazing food - if you get a chance, check out Cascina Spinasse.  It's an incredible Italian restaurant - my friend Richie cried because of how amazing the food was.  The sushi here is phenomenal as well.

Austin

Austin is one of the most vibrant cities in the USA.  There's always something cool happening, especially on 6th street which is where a lot of the bar scene is.  My friend Andrew always takes me to Torchy's every time I'm there - they make some of the most flavorful and unique tacos.  You'll always find good music, great food, and nice people in Austin.

Paris

I've been to Paris 3 times and it's hands down one of my favourite cities in the world (I took French for 8 years so I might be biased).  The cuisine is exquisite and there are so many beautiful and historic landmarks to check out.  It's also easy to get around from place to place so you can check out everything from the Eiffel Tower to the Louvre to the Arc de Triomphe in just a day (if you have the stamina).

Sydney

I had to save the best for last! The one thing I've noticed about Sydney (and Australia in general) is that everyone is incredibly friendly.  I always have such a great time there and I literally can't stop smiling.  I'm definitely such a tourist when I'm in Sydney - I just can't help but soak up the fact that I'm halfway around the world.
