Dai Burger takes us through NYC

DAI BURGER is the NYC rapper/singer that keeps her finger on the pulse. Best known for her 2014 mixtape, IN YA MOUF featuring her momentous track 'Soufflé', Dai Burger is the underground favourite of your favourites. Featuring on Darq E Freaker's 2015 single 'Choppin Necks', and killing it in her own right, Dai Burger is the hard-working, singing, rapping and dancing artist who seeks to give it her all.

On the eve of Dai Burger's trip to Australia for a headline tour, including two stints at both the Sydney and Brisbane legs of Yo! Sissy Goes Down Under festival, she's given us the lowdown of five of her favourite NYC destinations. Check out her fave spots below, and read on to find dates and tickets for her tour!

"My favourite spot in NYC will forever be the Patricia Field boutique which sadly closed its doors to the public in 2015. This place had something for everyone and was a complete wonderland to walk in to. You almost couldn’t believe your eyes upon entering. Catering to the club kid, queer, drag & trans and just out right stylish-crowd, Patricia Field (stylist of Sex & The City, Devil Wears Prada & more) really created a fashion forest that many people could call home. Including myself. I worked there for 6 years and to be honest, without this place, I would never have fully become the Dai Burger you see today. She continues to work with key designers and operates through an online website now. DO YOUR HOMEWORK! She is a living legend & I'm glad to have been brought up under such a prestige fashion Icon & stylist."

JIMMYS CORNER- MID TOWN NY BAR

"Though a very tight bar, it hold so much history in its narrow walls. Not only is it jam packed with nostalgia, but the drinks are super duper cheap & its located in the heart of Times Square New York. Definitely a necessary pre-game pit stop on your way to the night club."

"The absolute COOLEST spot for crazy coloured hair, rocking hair cuts, kawaii nail jobs & a store front boutique with many one of a kind pieces & accessories to complete your fab new look! The owner Rebecca Faye is one of my absolute favourite people ever, and sometimes i just hang out here to soak up vibes, promote & have some pure unadulterated FUN!"

MISS LILY’S 7A CARIBBEAN BAR & RESTAURANT

"Not only does this place do an amazing job of bringing a taste of the islands to NY, but they do it in such a cool trendy way. With in house DJ Rubie Lee (who also Dj’s for me when our schedules connect) you can always expect to come here, hear great music, eat great food, taste tropical drinks and just vibe out reggae style. You may even run into a few locals here, soaking it up the same."
