Blaq Carrie has released another soul-filled track ‘Lemme Ride’ with accompanying visuals of late night teen rebellion that’ll melt your heart in seconds.

Showing a tremendous amount of interest and talent in music production and rapping from the age of 14, Zimbabwe born, Brisbane based artist Blaq Carrie has released another soul-filled track, ‘Lemme Ride’ with accompanying visuals of late night teen rebellion that’ll melt your heart in seconds.

After the release of her first mixtape ‘Training Session’ back in 2008, Carrie has not only carried herself comfortably through the hip-hop genre but has done so with a constant, steady progression that’s taken her well beyond the point of new heights. She's previously won the 2013 Queensland Music Award for best Urban Song, and an Australian Independent award for her single ‘Let There Be Hope’.

She has been supported artistically by All Day and 360, opening for their Australian shows, and she's single handedly leading herself onto a platform of sheer talent that’s created her own attitude filled interpretation of Australian hip-hop.

‘Lemme Ride’ is a testament to her already easily recognisable talent, providing listeners with a foot tapping backbeat and soulful waves of ‘Ooh’s’ and ‘Ah’s.  She has provided a sense of complexity with old school sounds, but keeping it refined and fresh with her ultra-modern lyrical talent. The contrasting complexity of nostalgic yet modern sounds continues with the frame work and videography that falls within the video clip.

Snippets of children and the lady herself are captured as they playfully head to the streets by means of recreation; riding illuminated bikes on rooftops, jumping into supermarket trolleys and longing for a significant other whilst holding a bouquet of flowers are all tied together by the sultry sound of sax and Carrie's aptitude for rhythmic flows. The track transports you back to a time where things were simple, and will leave you pining after a midnight adventure on the streets of Brisbane.

She's proven herself time and time again, and once again shows everyone what she's made of here in 'Lemme Ride'. One of Brisbane's most underrated and slept on talents, Blaq Carrie can only remain a secret for so long, and with tracks like this coming out, we'd say she's bound to blow up any day now!
