Live Review: Wills 'Weeps' on his latest single

American producer WILLS has soul in every vein in his body. He knows how to create a smooth melody, a strong lyric and an enticing atmosphere, but his new song 'Weeps' will have you completely hooked. Jazz-infused hip-hop rolls through his subtle electronica and in every track you find something completely new to experience.

'Weeps' takes you on a musical journey of peace and sorrow. The opening notes fill you with a heavy sense of nostalgia and as the vocals begin, you realise that you're listening to a modern interpretation of Prince because like the legendary songwriter, Wills transforms you with song.

The melody slowly churns on throughout the verse and then once you hit the chorus, you feel the full force of the song's power. The vocals are raised, the backing sample becomes more prominent and the melody seems to open a small section of light through the darkness that 'Weeps' seems to be drenched with.

The song carries you through a very emotional journey and is one that really pulls at your heartstrings. Wills is extremely talented and like the late Prince, can really capture your imagination with his music.
