JERRY BOUTHIER is a house legend. His tracks have soundtracked the best parties across the globe and his production skills are unlike anything you would have heard before. The producer is beloved by the fashion elite, with him curating music for Vivienne Westwood and Kitsune amongst others.

The producer has never released anything under his own name because as he says, it’s unfair to the team that helped him if he didn’t acknowledge their participation.

“I come from a band/group background and as long as I wasn’t producing tunes strictly on my own, it didn’t seem fair to the other musicians involved in the creative process with me. That’s why we started JBAG for instance, the contribution of my musical sidekick Andrea Gorgerino is huge, it wouldn’t have made sense to release our stuff as Jerry Bouthier.”

‘Yeah! (DJ Tools)’ is Jerry‘s first solo release and to celebrate, we got him to tell us about his favourite electronic tracks that have shaped the way he makes his music.

Jerry Bouthier ‘Yeah! (DJ Tools #1)’

“My debut solo single and the kick off to a series of DJ Tools on my label Continental Records. See ya on the dancefloor, yeah!”

Boxed In ‘Forget (Extended)’

“Love this song by one of my fave indie-dance acts at the moment, meaningful electronic rock you can dance to”

Jaded ‘4000Hz’

“Overlooked party smasher that’s killing it everywhere for me, perfect to do silly dance routines to”

Karma Kid ‘Man of the Year’ ft. Charlotte OC

“The song of 2016! Did a delicious edit that blends the original with the vocal version for extra enjoyment on the dancefloor”

New Order ‘Round & Round (12” Extended Mix-Jerry Bouthier Edit)’

“I always try to mix it all up, this vintage 12” mix was crying out for a re-shuffle that delivers”

Marcus Mar ‘Rocketship (Jerry Bouthier Edit)’

“I’ve managed a catchier re-edit thanks to the main vocal hook being isolated, so handy, thx Marcus!”

Ekkah ‘Small Talk’

“Can’t remember how I discovered this sweet London duo but their take on Madonna’s earlier sound on this song is irresistible, great singers”

Scarlet Fantastic ‘No Memory 14 (JBAG Remix)’

“Possibly my best JBAG remix with Andrea Gorgerino, we gave this classic 80s hit re-released on Continental a whole new kind of South African mood”

Moby ‘Go (Andrew Claristidge Remix-Jerry Bouthier Edit)’

“Currently firing on all cylinders, my Acid Washed buddy delivers an excellent reinterpretation of this rave monster, I did a shorter edit for the smaller clubs”

Loredana Berte ‘Number One’

“One of my ‘all back to mine’ weapons, a bit of Latin passione to finish the night and get intimate to…”
