Escape it all with Bree Tranter's top five nature escapes

16 November 2016 | 6:46 pm | Lauren Payne

Bree Tranter is climbing the musical ladder faster than a road runner.

Bree Tranter is climbing the musical ladder faster than a road runner. In a past life she was part of indie darlings The Middle East, but she's been hellbent on proving herself in a solo capacity, and boy has she done well! Having just released her debut album, Another Night On Earth, Bree channels years of travelling into glorious soundscapes and glitchy electronica. Making a name for herself, by herself, it's safe to say we are hooked on Bree Tranter and wanted to get to know her a bit better.

Her latest music clip for 'More Sex And Love' is an amazing dream that becomes reality, in a lush rainforest. As Bree is also about to embark on a national tour to celebrate the release of her album, we thought we might ask the producer about her favourite nature escapes across the world.

Dos Ojos Cenote – Mexico

"This place is especially special to me because I had never been cave or cenote diving before, and I loved the patterns that the water created when the salt and fresh water mixed together under the stalactites."

columbia-hiking

Los Nevados National Park – Colombia

"This was my 28th birthday, it was the second day of hiking, we were coming down from the glacier and this is where I rested before 8 hours back down. I love this memory because at the time I didn't feel on top of the world, and yet I was. It reminds me that I am more capable of conquering mountains than I like to tell myself."

daintree

Daintree Rainforest – Australia

"I love North Queensland and I love being close to the creeks. This photo reminds me that I will always return to the forest and that it will always be my special place in Australia."

norway

Tromzo – Norway

"At the end of ten months of touring, I got to jump into the Arctic Ocean in Norway. It was one of the most special moments, where everyone was thankful that we were together as friends, playing music and enjoying the beauty of the world."

Gili Air – Indonesia

"This photo is special to me because I really love the ocean and I took this when I was on a break from touring. The one thing that always resets me is scuba diving or snorkelling because I can quiet the world around me and hear nothing but the creatures."
