So back in February, the Musica Copa Football tournament brought music industry athletes together for a day of football and beats.

So back in February, the MUSICA COPA Football tournament brought music industry athletes together for a day of football and beats. The event is always a great time and so, it's decided to come back again for a second instalment for 2016.

Musica Copa will be returning to the Marrickville KIKOFF soccer centre, it's home for the last 3 years, with yet another brilliant set of 5-a-side football teams.

For those who may not necessarily be soccer, or football, fans, Musica Copa is always a great time to come and hang with the teams and watch a friendly game all in the name of charity. Year after year, the participation in this event has grown and this time 'round, we've got 21 teams who are ready to get their sweat on!

Each team comes from a different sector of the music industry. Online publications; PR agencies; music labels; booking agencies and nationally touring festivals are all taking part this year. Already confirmed to take the field are some of Australia's biggest names in music like What So NotNina Las VegasPaces, Swick, Montaigne, Dena Amy, Motorik Vibe Council, Third Floor, Klue, Winston Surfshirt and members of Peking Duk, Flight FacilitiesSet Mo, I Know Leopard and The Delta Riggs, plus more to be announced.

FBi Radio, Future Classic, I Oh You, Groovin The Moo, Red Bull Music Academy, Sony Music, UNDR Ctrl and many more will also have teams.

Each team will be playing to win money for their nominated charity, which has become a larger prize since the inaugural event. Musica Copa has raised over $30,000 since first starting out and this year, the prize is sitting at around $10,000 but will no doubt grow when the big day comes.

Entry to the event will be a $10 donation at the door, a small price to pay to see What So Not battle it out on the field with Paces and Nina Las Vegas.

There will be music happening as well, we can't have Musica Copa without music, so to keep an eye out for the upcoming full list of artists as well as the charities that are being played for in December, head to MUSICACOPA.COM
