Patrick Topping takes us to the best places in Northern England

9 November 2016 | 1:01 pm | Lauren Payne

PATRICK TOPPING is a producer from Northern England who broke onto our radars in 2015.

The UK has been a dance music hub since the late 1980's and new talent seems to emerge onto the global stage constantly. PATRICK TOPPING is a producer from Northern England who broke onto our radars in 2015 and has been continuously touring with some big music festivals over the last year.

Good ol' Pat has travelled to Australia three times to play shows and he's about to head back again. With so many live shows under his belt (he's also played across the US, South America and of course, Europe), we have no doubt that his next Australian shows will be amazing and can only hope he'll return for more soon after.

Some of you may not know Patrick Topping that well, so we asked him to give us a tour around his hometown of Tynemouth, a small seaside town just outside of Newcastle in the UK, so we can get to know this talented man a little bit more.

Riley’s Fish Shack

"This is probably my favourite place to eat near home, it's right down on the sand of King Eddies beach, which is a little hidden away alcove from the town above. It feels really secluded and food is unreal."

Tynemouth Beach

"Next door to King Eddies is the main tourist beach, which is packed with families and surfing competitions in the summer. I love hanging out with friends here, having a few drinks and a fire. I also I try to get down here in the mornings for runs."

Front Street

"There are about 10 bars here, from more fancy cocktails places, to a few proper traditional British pubs. My pick is Lola Jeans for lush pints and food, I also usually always bump into mates here too."

The View

"A new spot for food and drinks on Tynemouth beach, which has an outside area for the summer and an indoor restaurant/bar, which has great views of the beach. It actually reminds me a bit of Australia, the decoration must have taken inspiration from Oz."

Budda Lounge

"Asian style restaurant  on Tynemouth Front seat. Lovely food and it used to be the only nightclub in Tynemouth, so I also like the nostalgia lol."<
