Live Review: Billy Davis dance their way through heartbreak with new clip for 'No Longer Lovers'

Melbourne juggernauts BILLY DAVIS debut clip for their infectious neo-soul single 'No Longer Lovers.' Much like their sound, the clip is upbeat, fun and heartfelt.

'No Longer Lovers' is the lead single from the band's impending album. So far, it's already gained some serious traction for the band, with plays BBC Radio 1 and features on the Global Spotify Viral charts. The song opens with laid back electronic elements, but it's that sexy soulful vocal and tenuous strings that really grab you and draw you in. The tune comes to a crescendo with it's sassy brass and crafty hip hop lyricism. The tune is somewhat nostalgic, in it's themes, as well as it's sounds. Effortlessly marrying the elements of deep house with the heart and soul of an old school disco tune.

The newly released clip for 'No Longer Lovers' features all 11 of their band members, brought together by their multi-talented band leader and chief-songwriter William Rimington. Inspired by global artists like KAYTRANADA, ANDERSON PAAK and THE INTERNET, their incredibly fun and up tempo sound has been well received in Australia. Bringing something fresh and unique to the local scene. Combining soul, hip hop, whilst borrowing elements of contemporary electronica.
