6 October 2016 | 11:00 am | Emma Jones

Heaping on the nostalgia, Martin King takes SHOUSE's "Support Structure" to the late night club with this latest remix.

You may not be familiar with an act named SHOUSEyet. But, we're here to change that. A collaborative project between Ed Service of IO and Jack Madin of The HarpoonsSHOUSE are here to shake things up with melodic house tunes, with a focus on collaborating as much as is musically possible.

Having already worked with both Mohini and Maia of the incredible HABITSSHOUSE's first two singles were unique, powerful and so damn good. And now we have the first listen of a brand new remix of their track, "Support Structures", courtesy of fellow Melbournian, Martin King.

Having also made a name for himself thanks to his emotional dance music, as well as his work with Oscar Key Sung in Oscar + MartinMartni King shows off what he's made of here.

Turning it into a late-night floor-filler, Martin King effortlessly commands the gentle tune straight into your brain, where it will probably play on loop for days to come. Taking inspiration from old school house and throwing in some modern flourishes, King takes SHOUSE to the club here, whilst throwing in some extra emotion that he's known for. Although the track originally could've been perfectly suited to a rave or the like, King's take gives it those 3am feels that are reserved for late night vibes. All in all, it's a sublime remix of an already impressive tune.

Melbourne fans can get along to the Mercat on October 14th, where SHOUSE is set to launch their remix EP with a whole slew of amazing acts including Brooke Powers, Amateur Dance, Jennifer Loveless, Jamal Amir (Temporal Cast), Fieldwork (Cool Room), Martin King & The Harpoons DJs. They've confirmed more edits and reworks are also on the way, and it's safe to say we can't wait!
