Sydney lady Made in Paris has just been announced to play the Sydney leg of techno festival, Tell No Tales. We hit her up for her top five favourite labels.
Pulling together an array of artists from all different pockets of the world sees Hardware present, Tell No Tales - a diverse exploration of techno music and creative expression, executed outside of the typical festival format.
Inspired by the European Summer, The Nursery of Melbourne's Flemington Racecourse, and the Theatre of the Horse of Sydney's Royal Randwick Racecourse will be deeply immersed in iconic house and hard-hitting techno, for one night only.
Taking place in early December, Tell No Tales have gathered a ridiculously lux lineup, as Ricardo Villalobos, Pan-Pot, Audion, Agents of Time and Nastia are all performing. Already such an impressive list, the local lineup for the Sydney leg has too just dropped, which sees the bill expanding with Bella Sarris, Brohn, Persian Rug, Ricky Cooper, and more.

Another name to get around is Sydney lady, Made in Paris. A connoisseur of smiley techno armoured with a cinematic force shield , the Nuffsaid Agency signee has released music through Motorik, and her own label, Upon Access.
On the topic of labels, the artist has an encyclopedic knowledge of such collectives; local and abroad. Curious to see where her music taste stretches out to, we hit up Made in Paris for her top five labels, ahead of her Tell No Tales appearance.
Watergate Records
Favourite release: Ruede Hagelstein 'Soul Dynamic'
"Grew a stronger love for Watergate and Ruede after this release. He's all about the toms and so am I."
Life & Death
Favourite release: Stephan Bodzin 'Singularity'
"Wizardry at it's finest. Dark melodies that hit your soul like no other!"
Keinemusik
Favourite release: &ME 'Trilogy' Feat. Sabota
"Keinemusik always provides music for the outdoors, a jungle like vibe like this track is a real good example!"
Sudbeat Music
Favourite release: Victor Ruiz & D-Nox 'Arise'
"For those pumping nights in clubs, Sudbeat provides progressive melodic techno tracks like this killer one from Victor Ruiz & D-Nox."
Ellum
Favourite release: Gardens Of God 'Fiddler'
"Maceo Plex being one of my favourite artists of all time, would be silly not to have his label in this list. This track is a winner for me. It's dirty guitar riffs and the violin in the breaks are pleasing to the ears."
Catch Made In Paris at the Sydney edition of Australia's inaugural, Tell No Tales festival. Melbourne residents keep an eye out for your local lineup, sure to drop very soon!
