Jack Grace Reveals Video Extension Of His Track ‘All Lost’
Jack Grace has an interesting sound that doesn’t just blend genres. Instead of just mixing portions of classic ballads and rhythmic electronica, he finds a way for each piece to complement each other, resulting in a backlog of work that just feels magical. ‘All Lost’ is a track that presents his talent in a more calming atmosphere. It’s a bit of easy listening mixed with the emotional depth of a fully formed ballad
‘All Lost’ is a track that presents his talent in a more calming atmosphere. It’s a bit of easy listening mixed with the emotional depth of a fully formed ballad, which makes it feel comfortable and smooth. When it came to making the song’s music video, Jack said he felt a little weird about the idea,”All Lost’ makes me a bit uncomfortable. When it came to making a clip for the song I didn’t feel like there was more that needed to be said – I actually felt the opposite, I wanted to make a clip that expanded the song without pushing a particular angle. I’m a fan of internal narrative and this is about helping you with that.” The solution? Get director Hamish Mitchell on board.
The resulting video feels just as calming and enticing as the song itself. The video comprises of various shots blending together to create the dremiest fencing match you’ve ever seen. The pale yellow filter gives each shot a sort of nostalgic essence and as every shot is in slow motion, you almost feel like you’re watching someone’s memory play out in front of you.
‘All Lost’ is a song you can literally get lost in, just escaping the outside world to hide amongst synths and strong piano notes. Jack Grace has a gift for composition and once you hear ‘All Lost’, you won’t want to listen to anything else.
