Mum told me not to talk to Strxngers, but this Sydney party will be the exception
The Lord Gladstone is fast becoming one of Sydney’s best party spots. Decked out with some great art, an incredible kitchen and multiple spaces to party in, it’s pretty much set to hold anything.
We’re loving the culture of the acts the venue continues to support (hello our 10th anniversary bash), and this one in particular is something special.
Run by a Sydney collective known as Strxnger, the cohort are set to run their third event, featuring some of the most diverse up and coming acts in the game. Past events have seen them finish up around the 10pm mark, but this event’s a little different. They’re sleeping in and starting the party at 7pm, and it’s going to kick on way past lockout.
If I’ve learnt anything from Strxnger, it’s to expect the unexpected. You’ll find bouts of lush deep house, only to be followed up with some heavy trap, and finished off with some intense future beats therapy.
They’re continuing their tradition of initiating the CYPHER session. It’s an opportunity for local MC’s and rappers to spit some bars on provided beats, and they’re wanting more to be involved, so if this sounds appealing to you, check out the event for more info.
The 22nd of October is when this one’s going down. You’ve had plenty of notice, so there’s no excuse. Get those N/A’s in and grab a group of mates because if there’s one thing I’ve learned about Strxnger, it’s that good music is best served with big company.
