After retiring to a beach house somewhere around the east coast of Australia, Sydney kids RETIREE have returned with a new ultra-funk piece, 'Continental'.

The 3-piece group I'm sure have heard their fair share of retirement jokes, but these lads seem like an easy-going bunch, basing their current release on the simpler things in life. Retiree explain that 'Continental', “features a field recording of water lapping in a Venice canal. It's not about brexit. It is about selfie sticks, love, photo albums and tourism. The song was written in a Venice hotel room, recorded in Berlin and Sydney, and mixed and mastered in Melbourne.

This very cool groove piece demonstrates the group's signature vibes and sound. Out now via Plastic WorldRetiree takes delicate rhythmic patterns and interlocks them with relaxed melodic riffs for a warm and compelling work. Interesting though, is their ability to take such simple subject matter and create such a lyrically captivating piece. Now, you'll want to listen to this beast!
