Live Review: Tom Misch remixes Jordan Rakei's "Midnight Mischief"

JORDAN RAKEI has had quite the year. After releasing his debut album 'Cloak', he's about to venture off on a tour across Europe. Now along with friend and fellow collaborator TOM MISCH, he has released a beautiful melodic remix of single 'Midnight Mischief', giving it a more electronic touch.

Tom Misch has completely transformed what was a real tear-jerker of a track, adding a soft catchy beat and chopping and changing the instrumentals, yet keeping the serenity and essence of Jordan Rakei's unique sound. Take a listen for yourself:

Blending the sounds of jazz, soul and funk together with an electronic backbone is very hard to accomplish, but when done right can be absolutely glorious, proven here with a Jordan Rakei and Tom Misch collaboration. We can only hope to hear more from the pair in the future.
