12 April 2016 | 1:18 pm | Hannah Galvin

We've entered another month of 2016, which means we've earned twelve new songs to download and listen to, courtesy of TAXX.

TAXX #2

Ayoo, its April, which means we're due for another TAXX mixtape. Well wish bloody granted, for our beats enthusiasts have strung together another twelve gems for your free digital download satisfaction.

Exclusively full of faves, the second instalment follows the first mixtape with some more tribal vibes, as enunciated in Xanga's, 'Futeboi Bunder Prala Samba', released on Multi Culti. Xanga's label mate, Chris Colonna returns to TAXX, although this time not by Ccolo, but new moniker, Magic Pirate with 'Voodoo Bunny'. Absolutely filthy in the best possible way, the single came out on an EP through Motorik last year, and has just been gifted its visual accompaniment.

Up in the rise of jazz infused rap and hip hop circulating our vibrant culture as of late, Vulture St Tape Gang hop on board with, 'I Am Your Pet Cat'. Subsequently, the gorgeous vocal range of, Jaala harmonises in, 'Lowlands' against the minimal simplistic backdrop of guitar and percussion; elegantly contrasting against Tobacco Rat's soundly, 'Paper Plastic' - get deep within its fantastic mess.

Setwun leaves a mysterious chill in the air with, 'Park', as he follows a quick PSA from Ototoi's, ' THAT TIME I LEFT MYSELF AT HOME'. Hitting the soul train with a tinge of lounge groove, TAXX winds things up for another month with the collaborative slow jam from, Jordan Rakei Kiran Kai - 'Maya'.

Love in full bloom, the latest mix is the perfect antidote to any eccentric electronic enthusiast's gaping library hole. Grab your free digital download and lock yourself into the news escaping the TAXX Facey for info on their monthly Sydney parties.
