Live Review: Anderson .Paak & Knxwledge 'Link Up' for another NxWorries collaboration

Cali label, Stones Throw (founded by the legendary, Peanut Butter Wolf), are looking after the exciting new project that is NXWORRIES - the collaboration between R'n'B vocalist, Anderson .Paak and hip hop producer, Knxwledge. A genius combination, they've just dropped their clip to second single, 'Link Up'.

Set in a classic American convenience store, where a longy of IPA sits a metre away from the cup-a-soup shelf, an angry Eric Andre shouts profanities and threats to a rather disengaged Knxwledge clerk, before taking a strike to the head from a mighty little lady. Setting the scene to what becomes a rowdy hangout, the NxWorries gents (with bonus Earl Sweatshirt) vibe out to the sensual soundtrack that is, 'Link Up'; it's creased tongue-in-cheek lyricism ironed out by the fibres of a very soothing soundscape of dutiful beats and hazy back-up singing accompanied by a bout of plentiful scratched up sampling.

Joined by a team of young, attractive women who spend their time gambling, dancing, purchasing pregnancy tests & contraceptives, and messing up the joint with spilt alcohol and snack foods, NxWorries create a rather unsuspecting network within the confines of an otherwise mundane environment.

'Link Up' is the second single from NxWorries, and is to feature on the duo's album due for release in 2016, via Stones Throw.
