Gryffin is a new name to ears, but his status of ‘relatively unknown’ isn’t likely to last much longer.

GRYFINN is a new name to ears, but his status of ‘relatively unknown’ isn’t likely to last much longer. With his remixes amounting to 100 million (!) streams online his debut original piece of music. Featuring Josef Salvat ‘Heading Home’ proves Gryffin isn’t just a remix master.

Gryffin is based in New York City and places equal weight on both his production skills and ability to captivate a crowd through live performance. The choice to incorporate the vocals of Sydney born, London based Josef Salvat is a smart move, as both artists have some superb talents and are on the rise. Josef Salvat is slightly more familiar name, having had a series of excellent songs come out with his name attached in 2015.

‘Heading Home’ has something a little bit 90’s going on with very strong piano layers ringing throughout. It’s groovy and serious easy listening. Definitely a driving track over a club anthem, giving you even more appreciation for the smooth sounds and beats created by Gryffin and complemented by Josef Salvat’s dreamy vocals.

Gryffin feels this track is a true representation of who he, and his music is. It certainly invokes thoughts about nights out and the wander home where you are in limbo between the greatest night on Earth, and not knowing what day it is.
