The Goods ft. Lo Five ‘Strong Man’

Sydney electronic duo THE GOODS are beginning their ascent to greatness with new one ‘Strong Man’. This one comes to us as the debut offering from the guys with their new found home on label Personal Best Records.

Featuring a sound that Jungle would definitely vibe to, the duo have nailed a big band feel in an electronic setting, which is something that is definitely an individual feel.

They’ve enlisted the help of Lo Five to create this wonky RnB meets low-slung house fusion, and it’s this fusion that’s given way to this huge number.

What stands out for me is the rather wonky way they’ve portrayed the synth in this one. It’s under-pitched, but that works with the smooth, group chorus. There’s so much soul hidden away in this one, it’s hard to not move around to its infectious tone.

You can expect The Goods’ debut LP to drop around March 2016.

No idea where she’ll be in 10 years, but as long as she has a good record and a glass of white wine, she’ll be sweet.
