Live Review: MKO Sun 'Michiko' (Official Video)

Hypnotic, psychedelic and extremely fucking talented are just a few of the words that come to mind when you experience MKO SUN's musicianship.

Not only is she an incredibly talented singer, but the songstress also has an eclectic aesthetic to the way she presents herself and her sounds. She's just put out a new EP called Opus Opalus, and it's definitely a big one.

A definite sonic trailblazer, her brand of cosmic RnB is one of intense separation. There's nothing else like this that I've heard, and as far as I'm concerned, that's an incredible feat.

She's got an incredible new clip to accompany one of the singles, 'Michiko', and it's hypnotic to say the least.

With MKO Sun herself dressed in a gorgeous array of clothing and accessories with a flame red tint to her shaved hair, her aesthetic compliments the surreal feel to the warped effect placed on the dancer.

Waving a large silky piece of material, the visual effect distorts it to the point where it becomes almost indistinguishable and iridescent.

MKO Sun's definitely got one thing down. And that's using her vocal power to create an incredible new brand of RnB that's distinctive enough as to feel like her own.
