Live Review: Vanessa Elisha 'Out Of Time' (Prod. By XXYYXX)

13 November 2015 | 5:59 pm | Emma Jones

We predicted Vanessa Elisha would have a big year this year, but the way she is headed it looks like 2016 will be even bigger thanks to her latest track.

We don't like to brag too much here at Purple Sneakers, but we have a knack for knowing someone special when we see them. VANESSA ELISHA caught our attention last year. So much so, we actually named her as one of our Artists To Watch For 2015.

Although she's taken her time over the past few months, casually dropping tracks here and there, her latest release shows she was actually sitting on something BIG, and the wait was well and truly worth it.

Striking up an internet friendship with none other than prolific producer XXYYXXVanessa Elisha has just released a brand spankin' new track titled 'Out Of Time', and in turn has shown the world just what she's made of. Her husky, RnB voice with so much soul in it you can feel it in your core, is the perfect match for XXYYXX's forward thinking production. The duo fit together like two extremely talented peas in a pod.

This is the second time the pair have worked together; the first time being last year where Elisha sung on XXYYXX's 'Unknown'. Now, the tables have turned and Vanessa Elisha has never sounded better.

Dynamic, powerful and passionate, she delivers her panicked lyrics over a bed of crashing cymbals and warm beats. You can feel her frantic thoughts as the track ticks and tocks ahead; her voice full with emotion. The pair pull you in and keep you there, all the while begging as they race against the clock.

'Out Of Time' comes on the eve of Vanessa Elisha's first national tour, and will no doubt prove an absolute treat in a live setting. We knew she was going to have a good run for 2015, but by the way she is going now, it seems 2016 is going to be even bigger.
