Earning himself the label of “a producer’s producer” Perth born PALACE is back at it, tackling yet another subgenre, with his latest release ‘Can’t Stop’. Teaming up with GODWOLF, this track is both hypnotic and consuming.
‘Can’t Stop’ has a definite pop influence, taking its cues from all pop classics with a breakdown in the middle, the dialling of a phone and even spoken voice.
It opens with an echoey sound, you feel like someone is calling out for help from the depths of a tunnel. Which is essentially what the track is about. It’s a tale of going to far with lusting after someone who doesn’t give you anything back.

Palace is the pop influence, but he also understands the world of electronic music and has dabbled in hip-hop in the past, which can be heard with the vocals of ‘Can’t Stop’.
The cross-country collaboration with Godwolf has added the electronic/indie influence to the track.
The track is multifaceted, its kind of like one of those triple threats the arts world talks about. It shows seamless collaboration between varying Australian talents, manipulated vocals, dreamy voices, pop music and a synth driven groove.
