Live Review: Javeon 'Show Me Something'

26 November 2015 | 11:17 am | Caitlin Medcalf

Javeon is back with a new one of his own, and it's got the perfect balance of genre'd elements, it's kind of hard to pinpoint where it sits.

Bristol native JAVEON is no stranger to music. His project's been in full swing for a couple of years now, but the time has been incredibly constructive and has allowed him to extend his work to other realms, like collaborating with Cyril Hahn and Le Youth for their tracks.

He's back with a new one of his own, and it's got the perfect balance of genre'd elements, it's kind of hard to pinpoint where it sits.

Titled 'Show Me Something', what stands out the most is how he's managed to fuse his well-tempered RnB vocals with a UK garage beat, and the end result feels more dance than anything.

It's energetic and absolutely teeming with feel-good vibes, and that's why this one is essentially so groovy. It's fast paced and well considered, which in the eyes of Javeon, can only be something that's become so normalised to him.

'Show Me Something' is an incredible indicator of not only how much Javeon has grown as an artist, but also of how much he's willing to push boundaries and continue to remain original.
