Live Review: Premiere: Flamingo Jones 'Fred Bear'

Summer's just around the corner, friends. And you know what that means.

Aside from the ridiculous heat and tendency to live in cold water for three months, the best part about summer is the music that emerges as a result of said heat.

There must be something in the water, because FLAMINGO JONES has given us a slice of summer early with his new one 'Fred Bear', which we're super excited to be bringing you the first taste of today!

Described as 'nature beat', this diverse brand of electronica pairs afro-pop grooves with fantastic lyrical musings, creating a kind of sound that captures your attention from the first note. Not only is it one of intense distinction, but it's also one to let your hair down to.

Taking pop music seriously is something Flamingo Jones has done, and in the process, he's reinvented it for the purpose of his own sounds.

He's approached this one with intense maturity, and the result is a fun, upbeat track that brings together everything that's good about pop music and its musings.

'Fred Bear' is the anthem we all needed, and with the hottest part of the year yet to come, it's only uphill from here.
