HOMETOWN GUIDE: LDRU on Manly

22 October 2015 | 6:32 pm | Emma Jones

Currently in the middle of a massive national tour in celebration of his latest single, 'Keeping Score', we asked LDRU about his favourite spots in Manly.

LDRU made a name for himself as one of the most exciting new producers to pop up with his huge monster of a track, 'The Tropics'. It became the soundtrack of just about everyone's summer, and his consequent takeover of the local scene saw him find musical camaraderie in fellow local hero YAHTZEL. The pair joined forces to create CARMADA, and that's when things really kicked into over drive.

Since then, LDRU has been on a steady, but rapid, ascent and now he's set to do it all again off the back of his latest single, 'Keeping Score'. Currently in the middle of a massive national tour to celebrate it's release, we managed to get some time with him to take him back to his roots, and give us his favourite spots in his native Manly, Sydney. If you're one of the lucky few cities yet to be rocked by his huge live show, we urge you to head along. Words can't describe LDRU in full force, so you'll have to go along to see for yourself.

Nothing like a bit of banter on a cheeky back 9, there’s a giant golfball that you can hit balls at. Staff don’t like it but it’s pretty funny.
