Live Review: Oshan 'Dafty' Ft. Krue

23 September 2015 | 12:57 pm | Emma Gordon

Sydney based producer OSHAN has proved why he's been known as an 'artist to watch' with his new track 'DAFTY' (feat Krue)

Sydney based producer OSHAN introduced himself to the world as an artist to watch after his first original song 'Pusheen' scored him demanded attention AND was endorsed on Diplo's BBC Radio 1 show. Now, with the release of his new track titled 'Dafty', it's just another reason to prove why he was an artist to watch in the first place.

Oshan produces songs that can be described as 'headphone music' - songs with such hard and heavy bass, you want it as close to your ears as possible. For this track, Oshan had the pleasure of working with the legend Naderi from Flume, who also mixed and mastered the song.

Nest NQ recently wrote that 'Dafty' is "refreshing, energetic, and packed with enough swing to satisfy a playground of robotic children, this one is a worthy addition to his fledgling catalogue" and we couldn't agree more. Much like his other songs, it's again packed with a hard hit of bass, but this time you can really hear the Flume-style, atmospheric, beat-driven sound incorporated into it.

It's clear to hear in his music that Oshan has a colourful visual aesthetic combined with the sound of swinging future bass. With undeniable talent, and already some HUGE connections in the music industry, it's pretty obvious where this man is heading in his career (here's a hint, it's up).
