It seems PANDA BEAR now has a habit of releasing music with little to no warning. His album was precursed by a surprise EP, his album was succeeded by a surprise remix EP and now he's dropping yet another fucking surprise EP.
Entitled Crosswords, the EP is a mixed bag consisting of three new tracks: 'No Mans Land', 'Cosplay', and 'Jabberwocky'; as well as a new version of 'Crosswords', from last year's massive, Panda Bear Meets the Grim Reaper; and to round it out you may remember 'The Preakness', as a demo from 2012's Tomboy LP boxset.
Once again Noah Lennox has themed his work with visual stimulation in mind, as the Crosswords EP package features artwork by Swiss art maestro Marco Papiro and custom type-faces by Black Dice's Bjorn Copeland.
