Live Review: ROBB 'Feeble Lines'

This track by ROBB somehow passed us by, which is a shame because it’s soulful and stirring. So we’ve unearthed it and shared it here for you to listen to completely free of charge. Now that’s service.

This track by ROBB somehow passed us by, which is a shame because it’s soulful and stirring. So we’ve unearthed it and shared it here for you to listen to completely free of charge. Now that’s service.

‘Feeble Lines’ is a slow burner with husky vocals, melancholy piano and percussive beats. There’s an emotive essence that should have you playing it back a few times over – the vocals have a vulnerable quality underneath their R&B tinged swagger, which entice and intrigue. I’d put a bet on the fact that the refrain ‘are we corrupted, are we corrupted’ will be knocking around your inner ear for the next couple of days.

It’s brooding yet touching, meek yet confident, electronic yet organic, astute yet oblique with lines that enigmatically state that ‘it’s all between these feeble lines’.

The singer-songwriter project, initiated by singer Rob Summerfield, is a blend of alt-R&B and organic, gritty soul. The duo’s Soundcloud page plays host to a very modest three tracks, of which ‘Feeble Lines’ is the most recent. Very little press or reviews of the track, so get spreading the word because we hope to be hearing more stuff like this.

In equal parts gentle and hard-hitting, the Austrian duo (yes, Austrian) will nurture you through any tough times or anxious turns that might be ailing you today. Have a listen below:
