After being graced with the heartstring-tugging FRANCES ballad, a month ago, Manchester producer OCEAAN, gives us a total revamp of her track, Grow’.

UK based musician OCEAAN gives us an entirely new interpretation with this edit. Preluding the release of her EP said to be released on July 10th this year with Communion Records, Oceaan milks this Frances track to the best of his abilities. Applying an entirely new interpretation, the UK based artist brings forth a remix that imposes his house influenced sensibility onto the delicate piano original.

Changing the track in tone, he gives is a deeper, heavier feel, stripping away the piano and replacing it with various brain-wobbling, lo-fi elements. A high pitched harmonic drone introduces the track, which is unusually gripping to say the least, before a submerged bass line is thrown in to hit you hard. Soulful keys and some rhythmic funk act as a driving force, keeping it light, funky and soulfully syncopated.

The song still upholds an emotional undertone, drawing parallels with the original track. As Frances’ simple, dreamy vocals carrying a strong degree of sadness and nostalgia are still ever-present . This is an utterly sublime rework by Oceaan, that infuses a strong electronic pulse with the heartfelt sentiment of an originally stunning song.
