Live Review: Solar Heist 'Wait For Love'
LA duo Solar Heist have returned with a killer new single titled 'Wait For Love', taken from their forthcoming EP 'Day Trip'.
LA duo SOLAR HEIST have released the first single off their forthcoming 5-track EP, Day Trip. Titled 'Wait For Love', this is one of the most impressive singles I've heard in quite some time, setting themselves apart from the rest with their uniquely warm and upbeat tunes and soulful indie pop vocals.
Made up of veteran DJ Justin Karcich, who's been in the DJ game for 10 years, and indie frontman Jason Powers, Solar Heist is a fitting name considering just how sunshine-y, warm and fun their music is. Perhaps it's the combination of their differing backgrounds that helps them create a whole sound that doesn't quite fit anywhere too comfortably. It's indie, but it's pop, but it's electronic, and it's this unassuming combination that makes them as interesting and infectious as they are.
'Wait For Love' is a feel good tune, with impassioned vocals and all in hook that helps you completely let go and give yourself over as it rises and eventually soars. The track is quick to start building, with a crisp kick and synth sounds not often heard outside the 00's. It's a lot of fun, and will definitely help warm up many a dancefloor as we start to head into winter.

Available for a free download now, 'Wait For Love' paints a pretty exciting picture for what we can expect with Day Trip. If this track is anything to go by, we will be in for a real treat come it's full release date on June 2nd.
