Live Review: Jad & The Ladyboy 'On Guard' Ft. Blair De Milo (Charles Murdoch Remix)

After bursting onto the scene last year, and recently signing to Sweat It Out! Music, Jad & The Ladyboy released 'On Guard' ft. Blair De Milo - a track we haven't stopped listening to since it first dropped.

Now, it seems we weren't the only ones whose attention was caught by the catchy hook and late night jam beats, with Future Classic alum CHARLES MURDOCH dropping a fresh remix to compliment the original.

Bringing his signature style to the track, Murdoch slows things with a groove driven take. With pulsing synths and light cymbals, the undeniable skill this producer has is on show for all to see.

Letting the track work it's way along, what sounds like a relatively relaxed and almost simple mix is spun on it's head around the 3:40 mark. Where the synth line swells into a blissed out, shimmering dream.

Charles Murdoch has been keeping things under wraps lately, this being his first release in quite some time. I'm sure I'm not the only one hoping this changes soon, and with the producer set to perform at the Future Classic 10 year celebration at Vivid Live, it hopefully will!
