ELLA THOMPSON is one of the most exciting acts in Australia at the moment. From her work with THE BAMBOOS, to being part of GL (one of our Artists to Watch for 2015), and singing in DORSAL FINS it's a wonder she has any spare time at all, let alone enough time to create her own solo project.

Yet somehow she has, and the results are seriously impressive.

From the release of her debut single last month, ArcadeThompson set the tone for her new tracks as 80's nostalgia with a good helping of modern pop stylings. It was a slow burner, and showed a different side to the singer that hasn't really been heard before. Interestingly though, the follow up single to Arcade is the track that should introduce this new project.

I Go Over is fun, showcases Thompson's voice in a fantastic way and is a really great song. It is similar to the sounds of GL but shows Thompson's ample capability as a solo artist, and the accompanying visuals are just as good.

Full of beautiful shots of wide, open, sparse landscapes, Thompson and two of her friends dance in pastel colours, interjected with tripped out visuals of the dancing. The upbeat, almost urgent feel of the track is juxtaposed with the slow motion shots of the dancers, making it an interesting but very enjoyable clip to watch.

I Go Over is the second single lifted from Ella Thompson's forthcoming album, Janus which is tipped to drop in May. She recently supported ANGEL OLSEN in Sydney, and will no doubt be appearing more and more at the release date for Janus comes closer.
