Live Review: Barbagallo 'Ca, Tu Me' (Official Video)

Tame Impala's live drummer, Julian Barbagallo, has gone on to release his own music. Check out the film clip to his debut album's first single, 'Ca, Tu Me'

A man you may have recognised behind the kit at a Tame Impala live show, French man [Julien] BARBAGALLO has released his debut psych number, 'Ca, Tu Me', with a film clip to match!

Directing us through the cold and foggy woods, Barbagallo's physical presence immediatiely warms us up, due to his infectious energy as he frolicks through the open plain against an affectionate yet hinged soundtrack; predominantly consisting of an acoustic guitar, the artist's gorgeously soft & fluent French vocals and a wet woodblock being gently tickled reptitively.

Soon leading us into the suburban towns and fostering abandoned buildings, it becomes apparent that this man is travelling in total isolation, yet seems to be enjoying himself immensely. Taking note of the underlying electronic hum plotting subtle question marks throughout the tune, we begin to wonder if the artist has been caught up in a blissful daze during his roam of the empty landscapes; as his painted eyelids mask the true identity of a man who has traversed to a different way of life.
